  • We're back !!!

    Hello again...

We are finally back with our brand new updated website and back blogging again....

Things have been moving very fast here, alongside the statutory and specialist training that ProACT provide for East Cheshire NHS Trust, we will also be delivering specialist autism training for Mid-Cheshire covering Leighton and Northwich hospitals. We begin a series of workshops aimed specifically at clinical staff very soon.

Michael has taken a new position at Autism Networks as project co-ordinator. He will be helping to develop the centre and make it more accesible for individuals and families on the autism spectrum. One of his focuses will be to open the centre for adults with an autism diagnosis throughout the day. As an ex-registered manager of adult autism services, Michael sadly knows about the lack of suitable provisions for day activites...this is something he will hopefully be rectifying.

We have also launched our not-for-profit organisation Open2Autism aimed at supporting parents, families and individuals with an autism diagnosis in the Northwich area....Our next night is on Tuesday 27th August, please contact info@open2autism.co.uk for more details

Michael has also been involved in the development of STAPLLE (Support Training for Autistic People in Living and Learning Environments). The system is a new behaviour support approach aimed specifically at parents of individuals with autism who challenge. We believe with the correct support more people can stay in their home environment and not be placed in residential care.

So there is a quick whirlwind tour of what we have been up to....please contact us for more details
